One of the rounds went through an apartment just above a couch where a young child was lying down. No injuries were reported. Witnesses on the scene gave police a description of the gunmen, who fled the scene on foot after firing several shots.

A short time later, a patrol officer spotted two young men matching the description of the suspected shooters. As a result, 17-year-old Robert Rayson and 17-year-old Dallas Moore, both of Longview, were taken into custody. Rayson and Moore were both booked into the Harrison County Jail where they are each charged with possession of drugs and unlawful carrying of a weapon. More charges could be forthcoming.

Police Chief Jesus “Eddie” Campa stated, “The quick arrests of these two individuals are an example of what happens when our citizens and our officers work together. Using witness information, officers were able to locate and identify the suspects.”
